Using A Universal IR Remote For Canon 300D

Hello,
I want to use a universal remote to fire the shutter. I have a remote called "Tihao-E10in1".
Since every remote uses defferent codes, I need to know the device type and brand (like: VCR - Sony or TV - JVC).
Can someone tell me if he got the shutter to fire with an IR remote and what device the code was for?
