Digital Concepts 2.1 "USB Device not recognized" ate pics!

I bought the Digital Concepts 2.1 from Walmart almost two years ago now (I thought $130 for a cam was a pretty penny, I didn't consider it cheap). It worked great for awhile, though the pictures themselves were never great quality. They're always too dark or too light. Over the last couple months though I've been getting the same "USB Device not recognized" and occasionally being told the drivers need to be installed. What a joke. I could handle that, usually if you just moved the camera a different angle it'd take the pics off the camera. Haha, not anymore!! Now they just delete. I took over 30 pic's of my daughter "graduating" from kindergarten--a once in a lifetime thing!!! But thanks to my pic's being "eaten", I now don't have anything to show her. Totally sucks. What a waste!
