Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX1 / Leica D-Lux 2Thanks for your review. Actually I would liked to read more about the image quality, because in other reviews I read that noise is an issue even with small ISO settings. I bought a DMC-LX1 and have still 10 days left to make up my mind if I keep it or not, also shot pictures that seem to be really noisy on dark surfaces. Tried to use dcraw but to find the proper settings is really hard. BTW: The model # on mine is DMC-LX1PP (a black one) and not DMC-LX1K.

Hi efgee, That's a good idea. I will add comparison images to the article in the future. For now, since you already have the camera, try shooting the same scene using ISO 80, 100, 200, and 400 to compare the results. Try two different lighting conditions: bright sunlight and indoor at night. Let us know what you find. Also, have you read the "dcraw by example" article elsewhere on this site? It should clear up the settings. Is the article helpful? Please feel free to let me know so that I could improve the article.

Have just bought LX1 - find lens cap a nuisance after years of cameras without them. Can I fit a uv/skylight filter with clips instead of lens cap and if so, are they available?

ive done loads of research on this before buying recently.
