You cannot record DVD movies to your computer because of digital encryption and such. What if I ran the DVD video through my old 8MM VCR before going to my computer, would that bypass the encryption stuff?? I also have a lot of 8MM movies of my own that I would like to put on my computer for editing and individual photo capturing. If this is possible, where can I find a cable to go from S-Video to firewire ?? (I have windows XP with a 250 Gig harddrive that I will never fill otherwise).
