what's the diff between my 4-year old cheap ass camera and a $2000 HDV camera versus a $6000 camera?
I was reading this website about how people are putting up their own star trek shows and one of them happens to be using a $6000 camera.
It's quite an expensive hobby but still nice...I'm just wondering why they don't just use a $300-$500 range camera and be over with since it's just a hobby.

resolution. what dpi? how many ccds? what kind? speed. how many frames per second? live motion is supposed to be 30fps. film actually usually uses 24fps. media format. very important - lens.
