How do you make HVL-IRH2, or similar lights, battery operated?

I am not smart at all when it comes to circuit boards and other electronics but i can solder and connect using diagrams or good explanations and make anything work. So mechanically inclined not technically inclined.

I would like to make the HVL-IRH2 battery operated to modify it for use on cold shoes....i.e. not through the use of the IAS 8 pin (pre 2005 sony I believe). All my current cams are AIS the 18 pin and i accidentally got the wrong lamps but would like to modify them cause no ones seems interested in them. Thank you in advance!!!
