I recently tried using the DVC-ST100-VP Digital converter and it is exactly what I want. Problem is that when I plug the card in the computer-Blank Video. I am working on Windows 7 does that make a difference? I have an old TV that has a video player and I have been able to copy videos in the past on that TV. Anything I am missing?

Can you post a short segment of the video you converted with the VuPoint DVC-ST100-VP converter box? Post a segment that is no more than a few megabytes so that we can troubleshoot the problem. Personally, I suspect you don't have the right codex installed to view the video you converted. One way to check is to download and install VideoLAN, a free Open Source video players and see if it could play back your video. It could pretty much play any video format without you having to install codecs for the formats.

Weblog: Camera Hacker
Excerpt: We've purchased this for my mother for Christmas as she has many many video tapes and wanted to convert them. But when we hooked it up we get a No Signal! in red across the tv. How do I get rid of that so it's actually recording to my card?
