unable to playback or erase pictures in palyback mode for vivcam 3825

Anyone have any ideas? I have a vivcam 3825 and when I tried to erase the pictures on the card it dosen't seem to respond. If I turn the camera on it works normally when in the setup mode and the picture taking mode even in the short movie mode. IF I switch to the playback mode the green light on the view finder blinks while the small green light on the right side of the camera stays on steadty,I also can not shut the camera off I have to remove the batteries.
