Instagram Using Up a Lot of Battery

I love using Instagram. It is fun to post photos and see other people's masterpieces. But I am rather surprised how much juice Instagram uses compared to other apps on my Google LG Nexus 5 Android phone. Take a look at the screen shot I have attached below. Instagram uses 2.5x more than the Screen, which we know is a power sucking evil that we can't do without.

Is anyone else seeing symptom like this? Do you have any tricks to keep Instagram battery usage minimum?

The best solution is to shut down Instagram after you use it. On Android 4, you can bring up the task list and swipe Instagram to the side to close the app. Battery usage dramatically reduces when Instagram is closed.
