Does your ISP use a standard FTP port? If not, you might need to find out how to enter the special port into Fwink. What is the host and port you specified in your FTP program?

Good day Sir,

Your software is really user friendly. I've gotten everything set up and have the web page working however the "image" that is uploaded is black. I see the image fine in Fwink but the image that uploads to the server is just black. Any suggestions?

Thank you,

Try saving the image to a local file and see if it is black. I suspect you've uploaded the image to a different FTP location than you expect. You are probably looking at an old black image. Because JPG is a specialized format, it's not possible to load a corrupt image file and see black. You'd see a broken image instead. So if the local file is not black, then you are uploading to a different FTP location. If the local image is black, then you have to work out Fwink settings.

Hello! Your instructions are great, I noticed that you had problem with low light enviroment - you could use IR (infrared) diode to light it up - camera see this light, people don't.

Regards, Kuba;)

That's a great idea, Kuba. I thought about the same. But I was using the remote web cam with my baby. I wasn't sure what the effect of IR to my baby's eyes. I think it would be like shining a flashlight into someone's eyes, even though they can't see it, it didn't feel safe. So decided to forgo the IR. But I'm sure it will work great in other cases.
