Look guys, I too have the same problem.. we can now know that the drivers on the above site are not working for any of the models.I checkes the files that are installed in the computer and they aren't enough to make it run. I'm searching for days for the right one and still didnt find it. They all point to the same site (www.orbyxelectronics.com) that doesnt work.

I'm runing with Windows XP Family edition, SP2, with Zone alarm pro as firewall and kaspersky as antivirus.

Pease take to minutes to say some details about your operation sistem and protection, I think we are missing something..

(YOU NEED TO MAKE A LOG IN)<< search for your driver,
its a RAR file so u need to probly download winRAR
installer aswell...after u'd downloaded it...

extract the folder "drivers" to any location in
your C: driver...you could have a different letter tho...

Make sure you have your cam plugged into the USB port..
after you've dont that...Click Start>>right-click My
Computer>>Properties>>Hardware>>Device Manager>>
under unknown device right-click on your USB-Cam
device and hit Update driver >>click "no not this
time and hit next>>"install from a specific location
(advanced)" and hit next>>"dont search, i will chose
the driver" and hit next>>click Hard disk>>hit browse>>now
browse to what ever location you extracted that "drivers"
folder to, that was in the winrar file...>>in the drivers
folder you should see a file that says "USBCIF">>
highlight it and hit OPEN

let it install...and enjoy...

Alright... so I already know that part of my problem is that I lost the original software, can't find it at the moment being... but I think even when I had the right software, I still had this problem;

I have this generic Nexxtech Webcam. It's fine for the most part, I've managed to screw around with the brightness enough that it displays a fine picture... my problem is, that time to time, it never fails, I'll be using the webcam, and the color will start to change. And I can't change it back. Adjusting the hue in settings accomplishes nothing really. Only the most minimal changes occur. The image will slowly become totally red... or totally green, or blue, or yellow. Just slowly totally saturate. And it's getting irritating. I don't know if it's a driver problem or what. Any ideas?

Note. I'm running XP on a Pentium IIII

It is recognized as a "USB CAMERA", and the driver is not working.

I have successfully made this camera work without the install CD in the past, however it currently hates me and suprise!, i'm not the only one. It IS possible.

I have tried opening it in the device manager and updating/reinstalling the driver. It does not like the USBCIF.inf file that is in there. Says there is not driver for the device in there.

I have heard problems with using this camera in a USB 1.1 port so that might be half of you who are having a problem. Make sure your using a USB 2.0 port and have the latest updates for you motherboard.

I will continue the screw with it and i promise, i will update this thread on my experience. If it doesn't happen, resume emailing pure_apna@hotmail.com ... hahahaha

Update:

I gave up and ran over it with my truck. Then I proceeded to but a new logi one. It works great and SP2 auto recognizes it and installs it, no disks etc.

Good luck to the rest of you who are trying to do this. Props if you pull it off.

Just wanted to let people know.. once you get to that unzip file thing.. click browse and then click desktop.. then it shoul dcome up on your desktop and open it and hit set up.. i honestly know nothing abut computers but i managed to fool around enough to get that much.. peacee

Do yourselves a favor and install ERUNT before trying any of these.
Will be alot easier replacing busted registry when you need to.

Buddy brings me his busted laptop to fix.
Last thing that was done to it was install the camera.

i have the link i just cant attach the file in this box because it has a limit of 2MB max...so sorry...but wat u can do is u can e-mail the people at support@orbyxelectronics.com and they will e-mail u back sending u the driver...this will take maybe 2-3days for u to recieve :) they will send the file and instructions and they are easy to follow so good luck ohh and P.S wen u write the message make sure u include the model# and brand so they know wat driver to send u :)

Hey there wondering if anyone can help me out here. I have a Nexxtech 251-6505 and its installed and working........sort of. In my control panel it comes up as a generic USB CIF cam which is find and dandy but its really really dark and I cannot fix the colour and brightness on it. When I orginally got the cam I used to be able to do that but that part of the software seems to have "disappered". The cam was installed (and reinstalled about a hundred times to get it to work) from the orginal disk. How do I fix this?

All right, for any of you guys who are still bitching about this and have yet to follow any of the good advice given thus far. Install BITLORD and either Daemontools or POWERISO . Proceed to search for a TORRENT file on the net for your INSTALL CD. It will be a VIRTUAL RIP of your disc, mount this with the DRIVE software (poweriso) and proceed to install from there.

This camera has been a piece of crap from day one. Even if you do get it to work the picture sucks. Save yourself the fuckin brain aneurism trying to find the driver and go buy a name brand camera. Neexxtech is on my DO NOT BUY list forever!!!!

I've installed direct from the website and unzipped the file. I found the folder on my C drive but it had two options that didn't include install. I plugged my camera in and let the computer try to recognise it. At this point, the "install wizard" it tells me that I need to insert a CD. I let it run and run and run until a huge warning comes up saying that it FOUND the file but it's whining that it hasn't passed "the windows logo testing" to verify compatibility. Do I continue the installation?

I'm using Windows XP with Avira Antivir.
