IBM PC Camera High-Res Hack

Don't forget that you can hack this camera to get 640x480 by changing a setting in the registry! The instructions used to be available on
cameratechsupport.com/IBM/PCPro/software_pcpro.asp but that is now someone's site to capture ad clicks so don't go there.

I can't remember what needs to be edited but if you check your registry and make it look like the attached, it will work (I tried it by installing the camera on another Win XP computer).

Locate:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Xirlink/IBM PC Camera

Change ShowAssistDlg to "O".

Then go to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Xirlink/IBM PC Camera/VideoConfig

There are 24 entries. From the top to bottom, sorted by name, the data values in brackets should be as follows:

(Default) - (value not set)

VideoSize - don't change this one.
