Read current focal with Canon EDSDK

Hello,

I have troubles trying to read current focal length of my camera (Canon EOS 7D) :
EDSDK.EdsGetPropertyData(edCam, EDSDK.PropID_FocalLength, 0, out focal) returns EDS_ERR_PROPERTIES_UNAVAILABLE.
The only way I've found is to capture a picture and read the EXIF to get the focal length...
Is there a way to read it without taking a picture?

Thanks.

Hi,
because there is no EdsCamaraRef there is no way to read the Data directly.
The focal lenght at shooting time can only be read from the Picture.
See page 107 handbook.
