Canon A510 SDK in Windows Vista

Greetings,

I was wondering any one has ever worked with the Canon SDK for the A510 camera, and got it to work consistently in windows vista. Any help would be appreciated.

If this is not possible, then can anyone recommend a camera that is in the same price range and gives the same sort of functionlaity that you can get with the canon sdk

1. connect to camera
2. Live preview
3. take picture
4. zoom
5. Save to disk or camera
