Canon Speedlite 580EX Stand Replacement

At my brother's wedding this past weekend, a friend of mine brought a Canon DSLR with a Canon Speedlite 580EX flash. He mentioned to me that he had lost the stand to use it as a slave flash at a wedding before. And he wanted to know where to get a replacement stand for the 580EX flash.

I looked around a little bit at all the sources I know about, but none seems to supply this little stand. I even checked Canon's eStore for Accessories for: Speedlite 580EX, but it also doesn't show the stand online.

Does anyone know where to get this replacement stand for the 580EX?

One third-party option is to get an equivalent stand off eBay:
Mini Flash Stand for Canon 580EX II 550EX 380EX 430EX

The next best option I can think of is using a flash shoe to tripod attachment. Mount the electronic flash to the flash shoe, then mount it to a mini-tripod. Here is examples of what I'm talking about:
