Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC HSM Lens - A safe bet for your Nikon

I am Gnash and have been looking for a wide-angle lens for my Nikon and for my wife's Samsung digital SLR cameras that we purchased some six months back. We were looking for various brands and finally settled with the Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC HSM.

We took our decision based on the various features that this lens provides for both of our digital cameras. The 10mm focusing lens is very smooth and quiet when doing the manual or auto focusing. Another important factor that influenced my decision is the economical prices of the sigma lenses. It costs 30%-40% less than the Nikon lenses, based on my enquiries at various camera outlets. With respect to the picture sharpness, sigma 10-20mm is no less inferior to the Nikon lenses of the same configuration. These lenses provide excellent picture depth and clear color pictures. One more thing that I found out when using sigma lenses is that the size of the filters should not be big and should not be thick in nature. There are 2 types of sigma lenses available that fits my Nikon digital camera. But I finally found that Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6 perfectly fit my Nikon camera. One of the main features of this lens is that the sigma10-20 mm provides high-speed auto focus shooting and also offer full time manual focusing.
This lens is a perfect fit for my indoor shooting purpose in the landscape mode.
Though I am not a professional Photographer, I am able to appreciate the various positive features of this lens. In the next paragraph, I have given some prominent features of sigma 10-20mm lens.

Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC HSM Lens is a very powerful lens that is particularly useful for taking landscape pictures and shooting pictures indoors in conjunction with the image sensors of digital SLR cameras. This specific lens offers a Wide-angle view, ranging from 102.4 to 63.8 degrees view for the photographer. Because of this wide angle the photographer can get to take pictures, which might have been impossible using other lenses. There are three SLD glass elements used in this lens, to compensate for color aberration, which is the usual problem with super-wide angle lenses. The lens is very less in weight and extremely compact in nature. This lens is equipped with an inner focusing system. Models based on HSM Systems provide auto focus shooting and also offer full time manual focusing. It has a minimum focusing distance of 24 centimeters (9.4 inches) at all focal lengths. The non-rotating lens barrel perfectly suits the petal shaped lens hood. A circular polarizing filter can also be used conveniently.
