Raynox MX-3000PRO 0.3x Semi-Fisheye Ultra Wide Angle Conversion Lens

I have a Canon XM2/GL2 can you zoom in and out fully with this lens? I have the HD-7000PR0 which is 0.7X and I can zoom fully with my XM2/GL2.

There are two aspects . . . 1) Will the accessory lens vignette the field of view; and 2) Will the camera focus.

With a wide-angle lens, if it doesn't vignette when the lens is at the widest angle, then it's not possible to vignette at any telephoto angle. That's because zoomed in, the angle of view is narrower, therefore, only uses the center portion of the lens.

However, just because the accessory lens will mount to your camera, it doesn't mean your camera will focus with the lens. Typically, it will focus at the widest angle, because that's what the accessory lens is built to do. But whether your particular camera will focus in full telephoto mode is an unknown. You can only figure it out by experimenting.

Based on my test, my Sony DCR-HC90 will focus with this accessory lens up to zooming half-way. Beyond that, it is impossible to focus with this accessory lens.
