Canon 6x Zoom XL 3.4-20.4mm L Lens

The Canon 6x Zoom XL 3.4-20.4mm L Lens is made for commercial, documentary and for the High Definition ENG photographer. It has uncompromising optical quality. The 3.4 to 20.4mm wide-angle zoom lens provides incredible range for users as well as more versatility than other canon's products.

The "L" is for the "L-series" which is the highest quality of photographic lenses. The Canon HD video Lens has superb color and sharpness. The lens has high resolution and produces clear and crisp images.

The XL mount system supports HDV standards. It has compatibility and full HDV functionality with the XL H1. This includes functions such as: auto-focusing, still image stabilization, distance information, and still image auto-focusing.

The features of this lens is incredible. It has a manual Iris Ring on the lens itself, it allows you to adjust your f-stop with the same hand and in the same way that you would use focus and zoom.

It also has Distance Display, this allows you to see a subject-distance read-out in your viewfinder.

The lens also has a Minimum Object Distance or MOD function, this creates an auto focus range for normal shooting from 1 meter to infinity. It prevents the lens from focusing on dust particles.

The lens also has a focus preset function. This allows you to manually focus in on your subject and then store that information in memory. Once the focus is set you can then capture shots in which you change your focus from infinity to your subject, using three different speed settings.

It also has a zoom preset function. This allows you to preset the focal length of your lens and then store that information in memory. This is very useful when you want to preset a focal length for the end of a shot.

The lens also has a One-Push AF Function. This is used when you want to fix the focus on a particular subject using AF. You use this when you are tracking a specific person in a shot that includes many people moving in different directions.

Finally, the lens has Built-in ND filters. This allows you to select one of two neutral density levels (1/6, 1/32) and gives you the flexibility to obtain optimal results under a wide variety of lighting conditions. An ND warning display alerts you to brighten conditions as well, so that the image quality does not deteriorate.
