Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH1 Won't Release Shutter with Canon EF Lens

Hello! Could you, please, help? I need an explanation. My Panasonic GH1 camera doesn't want to shoot a thing with Canon EOS lens (mounted with special adapter). I assume that I don't know something about settings I should do. Don't you know something about that and could you help me with it? Thanks in advance!
