Canon mount lenses to Sony DSLR

Hi
I have a Sigma Zoom-Master 35-70mm f2.8 and a Tamron SP 60-300mm f3.8 lens that I purchased with my Canon T70 in the late 1980s. I recently purchased a Sony A700 DSLR and I would like to use these lenses. Does anyone know of an adapter or adapter setup that will allow me to use the old manual focus/zoom lenses on the new camera. I only want to use them in manual mode, and I'm not worried about the loss of functionality with the new camera body.
Thanks for your help
alex

Canon FD mount flange distance is 42mm, Minolta AF as used by the A700 is 44.5. This means that you're not going to be able to adapt canon mount lenses onto the A700 without corrective optics. No simple adaptor here.

This, though, or something like it, should do the trick - http://www.lordofthelens.net/servlet/Detail?no=8

Currently there are Nikon to Sony A mount. Sony A mount is much smaller than Canon EOS mount and may require some modifications like Nikon to Sony A mount. A small
piece of glass attachment is required at the rear end of the mount to allow focusing
to infinity. Perhaps it is the same for Canon to Sony A mount too! Very few Nikon
to Sony A mount available and most are without AF confirmation because it is difficult
and more costly. I have a Nikon to Sony A mount manufactured from China. You can
try www.alibaba.com to search for vendor/merchants who will make them. They are just as good and much more affordable.
