First of all use a small flat screw driver to insert into the tiny grove of the
Nikon to Canon EOS lens adapter. Try and push the tiny catch downwards and rotate
the lens adapter out of the Nikon lens. Once done it is over and no damage to your
lens or adapter. Nothing wrong with the adapter and ensure that you tighten the
screws with a small Philips screw driver. When the screws are loosen due to freqent
use, the catch is loosened and will not operate. Once tightened it is in serviceable
condition. I experienced the same situation and ever since I inspected and tightened
my screws before mounting the adapter to the lens, it has never happened again. Hope that you are able to release the mount and enjoy using your adapter too!
