I have recently purchased this lens and although so far it has served a pretty good purpose, I am disturbed that it did not come with lens covers to protect it from dust and accidental finger prints. What have you done to remedy this situation. Thanks.

I've also been unease about the lack of a lens cap and the lack of a filter thread--with a filter thread, you can get a lens cap that fits the filter thread.
But so far, I haven't done much about it. I've been wanting to put a filter thread on it though, eventually (see my article on "Putting a filter thread on the Olympus 1.45x Teleconverter").
