how to re-use the KONICA BY-37899 Super Wide Disposable Camera with Flash
I bought a couple on eBay (and there are more listed there) but I have not finished one yet to see the results. But I'm optimistic, and would love to know if this is a camera that can be hacked. I mean, it's a 17mm lens...if it's halfway decent it's already well more than I could afford in a "real" lens. I'd love for you to give it a try and report back! I may have to bite the bullet and try it myself on the unused one using your Kodak tips, but you're the expert...

Hi Nancy, I have never seen the Konica Super Wide Disposable Camera before, but it looks kinda cool. If you ever take it apart, be sure to send us pictures of it. Maybe we'll be able to help you figure out a way to reload it.

I gave it a try and found it to be quite easy. There are four main pieces to the camera: the actual body and a (nonessential) wide shell that wraps around and holds the self portrait mirror in place. The attachment points are easy to find by releasing the obvious ones and gently flexing the pieces to find the next ones. It uses a standard film cannister!
