How to multiple expose with an APS camera

I have a Chinon CS camera. It's fully manual, as far as I can see.

How exactly am I suppose to double expose?? I know about doing both shots underexposed by one f-stop, and shooting the darker image first, but how can I get my camera to take the two pictures on the one frame?

Thanks!

I assume your Chinon CS camera is the one shown here: http://www.butkus.org/chinon/cs/cs.htm. If so, you have a camera that is capable of shooting multiple exposure quite easily.

When you load your film, make sure you remember where the film leader is aligned. You must remember the position in order for the second exposure to align properly with the first exposure.

Let say you want to multiple expose the fifth frame . . . Shoot the first exposure with the technique you mentioned earlier. At this point, you can try to shoot the second exposure without advancing the film. I don't know if this is possible on your manual camera, some manual cameras have this feature.

Otherwise, you will have to rewind the film and reload it. Use the same film leader alignment as before. To get to frame 5 for the multiple exposure without disturbing the first 4 frames, shoot the first 4 frames with the lens cap on, shutter speed set to the fastest possible, and f-stop set to the smallest aperture possible.

On frame five, double expose it using the technique you mentioned earlier. Then you are done! 8-)

I wonder how you could do it on a digital camera.
