Mid-roll rewind with a Canon Elph Jr., then mid-roll change with a Canon IX

mid roll change from a canon (elph-2) to a Nikon or Vectis so when film processed can compare differences! with each camera! have not done yet as fear that when move film from one camera to next camera would not accept mid roll change or will double exp. the photos?
