Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH2 Digital Camera Review

If you are in pursuit of a professional looking camera with great photo and video quality, plus a variety of features, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH2 Digital Camera is the camera for you. The camera is very appealing, it is a decent size with a large lens and big digital panel on the back that is touchscreen (3-inch Free-Angle Touch Screen LCD). The touchscreen is a great feature, that is not common in many cameras. It makes for a better looking camera as well. The external controls are easy to manage and allow for quick transitions from still shots to video, etc. The camera is also lightweight too. This is nice for long days when lugging around a bulky heavy camera is cumbersome. The camera is 16.05-megapixels, which means the quality is outstanding. The pictures come out so clear; and there are a variety of settings like nighttime, motion, etc. This allows for spectacular quality no matter what the circumstances. I bring this camera to all of my son's sporting events and all of his team member's parents comment on how great the pictures are. This camera takes the clearest action shots I have ever seen. For someone who has taken at least up photography course and knows the basics about lighting, lens, and angles, this camera is perfect because it gives you professional quality for only about one-thousand dollars, which is cheap for a camera of this quality. However, this camera is good for a newbie too because it has the capabilities to recognize the surroundings and choose the best mode to receive the highest quality photo. (If you put the camera in AI mode) Another one of my favorite features is the 7 preset effects--Expressive, Retro, Pure, Elegant, Monochrome, Dynamic Art, and Silhouette This allows for even better photo quality and customization. In addition, another great feature is the video camera. Although video features are common in even cheap cameras, this one is superior. This camera takes videos that seem professional. The quality is so clear and not grainy at all. The only complaint I have about this camera is the battery life. For a camera that is good enough for professional use, I would expect the battery life would be longer. My other gripe would be the 1/160 flash sync speed, which is a little slower than I would expect and also there is still only 1/4000 max shutter speed. All in all, the pros definitely outweigh the cons and the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH2 Digital Camera, with a variety of great features that make it worth the price.
