Panasonic DMC-LC40 lens disassembly

Hello!
Do you know where I could get some info on how to dissasemble the lens on my Panasonic DMC-LC40?
It has a Leica DC Vario-Summicron 1:20-2.5/7-21 ASPH. lens on it.
Thank you.

May I ask why you want to disassemble the Panasonic DMC-LC40 lens?

Hey Cheng!
The plastic ring that holds the lens in place is cracked and the camera can only focus when the zoom is all the way out. When I turn it on, it thinks that there is the lens cap on, then when I zoom out all the way it works fine.

Maybe the focusing track is warped. I dropped one of my lens once, it could no longer focus. I sent it back to Tokina, and they said that the track (they called it helio . . . something) has to be replaced.

I do not have any information concerning the disassembly of the lens on your camera. Possibily the camera has to be disassembled.

But I am writing an article on the inner working of a Cokin wide-angle lens. Perhaps that would give you a tiny little bit of help.

Good luck on your adventure. Let me know its progress.
