Fujifilm FinePix S4250 - SD CARD WRITE PROTECTED

Ok.. So everyone keeps talking about a switch on the "ADAPTER".. My Micro SD adapter doesn't have a switch. I tried the DCIM thing: Switching the read only off. It didn't work. I'm a photographer, and ALL of the sd cards I use for my camera. I have a finepix s4250 camera and when i put my sd card and adapter in the camera.. I turn it on and this is what i get: SD CARD WRITE PROTECTED. Its really annoying, and very angering. I dont know what to do! I dont exactly have money to go buy a new one because of bills and what not.
