I have heard that you can call Canon Parts Center at 732-521-7230 to obtain parts for repairing your camera.
If you had gotten parts through the Canon Parts Center, feel free to post here and let us know your experience.

I have an SD-400. The LCD cracked on it so I ordered a replacement from Canon parts. (just under $70 after shipping.) I was able to replace the LCD on my camera without any problems at all. 3 Weeks later the new LCD Cracked again. I am giving the camera to my daugter and buying something else.

The screen on my Canon Powershot SD1400IS cracked and I called the parts number (732-521-7230). The guy on the phone told me that Canon is not making parts for that model because its an "exchange product". He gave me another number to call (630-250-6500 Factory Services ). He said that the powershot 1400 and 1300 are a factory service model, meaning I have to send it to the factor to be swapped out for another camera. I then asked what camera could I get parts for, he replied: the SD 4000, 4500, 900 and 1200 series. Very strange. So i called the Factory Services number and that ballpark quote I was given for repairing the screen was $125 + Tax + Shipping. I'd have to send it to their Newport News, VA location and then they'd reply with a proper estimate. 3-5 weeks later I'd be set. For the time it takes and the cost, its better to buy a new one. This really sucks. I was looking forward to fixing it myself for a fraction of the cost.
