Camera works on VCR and MEMORY modes, but not on CAMERA mode.

Hello. I have a Sony DCR-PC101e video camera. I have this very weird problem: The camera works normally on MEMORY and VCR modes, allowing to record to memory stick, and to play tapes.

But If I switch to CAMERA mode, the camera won't turn on. I've checked the switch, but it's ok.

What can it be?
