Hey, this is for me to look at. (But ya'll can look if you like.) I'm
just experimenting with how to store/post a picture into a post in a
newsgroup.

Fri, 16 May 2008 13:53:25 UT A720 challenges the D3?
That's right!
I know this is one of those burning issues that people just can't make up
their minds on. Which camera takes better pics, the Canon A720 or the Nikon
D3?
Or, is there yet an unidentified contender out there that can kick both of
these apertures?

Fri, 16 May 2008 07:02:48 UT Canon G9 spare battery
So, following my posting a while back and a long think I bought a G9 over a
400D (primarily down to the size - I'll be taking it walking/cycling a lot).
I *think* I need a couple of spare batteries (as I could be up to 10 days
away from electricity).
What's the difference between the NB-2L and the NB-2LH

Please find at the link below the program for renaming digital photo
image files using date and time recorded by camera with the image.

Formal and easily achieved image file naming consistency simplifies
organization and maintenance of large picture archives.
Wed, 14 May 2008 16:42:17 UT STUDY PHOTOGRAPHY AT BOSTON UNIV. CDIA
Anyone who has a passion for photography and loves to interact with
others may have what it takes to become a successful photographer.
There are many schools in the country that offer individual classes in
the artistic aspect of photography. But most fall short of fully
equipping students with the technical, artistic AND business aspects

If you've got a couple of extra minutes and are interested in how us blind
guys read books, check out:

It's an old Borland Turbo C manual I scanned in. I think it's far enough
removed from current standards I shouldn't run into copyright violation
Wed, 14 May 2008 01:14:39 UT Upgrading my digital camera
I currently have a Samsung Digital Camera that I purchased about 4
years ago.
However, now I'm thinking that I need an upgrade because although the
camera works during the day, any night time pictures that are taken
are blurry and dark. Also from the time that I click on the shutter,
the camera actually takes a few seconds to take the picture. Clearly

His attention may be focused in the wrong direction -- a possible example
of why ducks rarely succeed in the military.
Tue, 13 May 2008 15:49:41 UT Advice Needed on Amateur Wedding Photography
I am writing this message for my sister, who has volunteered to
photograph our niece's wedding. She is a marvelous amateur
photographer, uses a Canon Digital Rebel and gets amazing shots. The
niece is paying for the wedding herself and is on a tight budget, so
my sister was glad to offer her services free of charge. She feels

Tue, 13 May 2008 09:44:30 UT Virtual Gallery
I have a small photography show in a local non profit gallery. I'm
unlikely to have another, so I've made a quirky virtual gallery of it.
The images are from the gallery. It's rough around the edges but mostly
it's there.
This is a collaborative effort with a close friend of mine. Think of
Phillipe Hallsman and Salvadore Dali and you are on the right track.

Greetings,
My new site is up and running.

Other than "Elliot's Portrait," there isn't much there yet. Dima's tribute
to follow shortly.
I hope you enjoy, and, as always, please let me know if I screwed up.
Mistakes aren't always evident with a screen reader.
Tue, 13 May 2008 01:31:35 UT Old filter on new lens?
I have an old Hoya filter, and a new Nikkor 18-55mm, both 52mm
diameter. Can I use the filter on that lens? Is there any unforseen
issues I am not aware of?
