I got the same problem using the 80-200 HS lens (yes, the white one), no problems using other lenses. I send the body to the Sony tech. dept. and they repair |

Sounds like a wimpy battery. The battery can develop a little surface charge on the internal electrodes, so it runs briefly but can't sustain current. |
