Graham, For the same $50 or so, you can probably find a Canon EOS 10 or 10s on Ebay. This is IR capable. Sure, its a film camera but its about 3rd generation

I believe the Minolta Dimage5 and 7 series also do infrared quite well. Nice digital SLR Style with electronic view finders and APO lens. 5 MP. John P

There are many MD/MA adapters on the major auction site. The ones with optics work but degrade the image ($40); the ones without glass are for macro only
