Sony DCR-TRV250 Lousy Computer Playback

I bought a DCR-TRV250 several years ago, but never took the time to try dumping onto computer till several months back. Used the provided software and the usb cable. Video looks good on camera playback, but terrible on computer. Tried 3 computers, same thing. HELP!

Sony's USB streaming capability only supports a video resolution of 320x240. To get full DV resolution (720x480), you'll need to use the Firewire port.

Great! I will try that. But the res was so low as to be greatly worse than any old movies from ancient home movie cameras or vhs. It was so bad you couldn't even see who someone was.
