Gluing a Filter Adapter on the Camcorder

I just added a 35mm lens base to my HandyCam and now I can add my other lens effects right on the camera. For instance, we're going to view the whales in Laguna San Ignacio, BC and I'll be using my polarizer lens. I used a hotglue gun to initially attach the SKY lens and then added a bead of clear silicone glue over that. In the picture, the white around the lens is the uncured silicone.

This also lets me add my standard lens cap so I agree, having a way to keep the auto lens doors open would be nice since they are useless in this configuration. The new lens system keeps the dust out.

Also, thanks for the hints on the gun mic. I videoed a friends birthday and could hardly hear her opening the gifts, cards, and thanking people. I definitely need a mic add-on of some sort.
