Canon VIXIA HF S21 -- The Corking Camcorder

Canon is a Japanese multinational corporation with its headquarters in Ota, Tokyo, Japan. They are specialists in the optical and imaging products. They also produce photocopiers, steppers, cameras and computer printers. Canon introduced their latest camcorder with excellent features and controls called Canon VIXIA HF S21 Camcorder. It has a robust design and it offers full high definition (HD) video performance.

The dimension of the camcorder is 76.2 x 147.3 x 73.6 mm (3 x 5.8 x 2.9 inches) (width x depth x height). The total pixel capacity of HF S21 is 8.59 Megapixels. It has a 3.5 inches (8.89 cm) LCD display having 922,000 dots of resolution. It contains a 1/2.6 inches of CMOS sensor having 1080p resolution. The digital zoom capacity of this camcorder is 200x. The minimum illumination will be 0.3 lux. The minimum shutter speed is 1/2 second and the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 second.

It integrates a DIGIC DV III image processor. The supported resolutions of the camcorder are 1080i and 1080p. It incorporates a built-in flash and automatic flash mode. The effective still resolution is 8.02 Megapixels. The effective video resolution of this camcorder is 6.01 Megapixels. HF S21 contains a zoom lens of focal length ranging from 6.4 mm to 64 mm. The lens has a filter sized 58 mm. The minimum focus range of the lens is 0.4 inches. The self timer options available are 2 seconds and 10 seconds.

It bears a dynamic super range optical image stabilizer in it. The special effect features available with this camcorder are soft, vivid, neutral, custom effect, skin detail and low sharpening. The digital shooting photo mode is there and the shooting programs include snow, sunset, beach, low light, spotlight, fireworks, portrait mode, sports mode and night mode. The white balance functions are included and some of the white balance presets are shade, cloudy, tungsten light and so on. The minimum operating temperature of this camcorder is 32 degrees of Fahrenheit and maximum temperature is 104 degrees of Fahrenheit.

The camcorder comes with a 64 GB internal flash memory. It supports SD memory cards for storage purpose. It uses lithium-ion rechargeable battery for power. The supported battery comes with this camcorder is Canon BP-808. The camcorder weighs 470 grams (16.6 ounces). This camcorder is suitable for film-makers and professional photographers. Canon VIXIA HF S21 Camcorder is priced around the range of 1159 US Dollars to 1400 US Dollars.
