Polaroid finally announces the x350 availability
Polaroid finally announces US availability of the x530, introduced at the 2004 PMA and originally scheduled to ship in June 2004 (with a retail price of $399). The x530 will also be available in Canada, Japan, Germany and the UK by March 31, 2005 . Additional US outlets will be announced soon. Polaroid's x530 is the first consumer digital camera to incorporate the three-layer Foveon X3 image sensor. Looks like the Foveon is finally making into consumer level point-and-shoot digital cameras. Anyone care to put down a bet whether the Foveon will succeed in this segment or flop as it did in the digital SLR segment?
