Misrepresenting OISLast night, I was watching Panasonic digital cameras commercial on TV. The commercial was showing people taking sharp pictures while dancing and jumping up and down. The commercial seems to indicate that optical image stabilization could produce sharp pictures even duing exaggerated motions. That's is just not true. With my experience of using optical image stabilization on my Canon SLR cameras and on my Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX1, optical image stabilization will not help stabilize big movements, like the ones depicted in the commerical. It forces me to wonder if the commerical will mislead people into getting a digital camera that they think will produce miracles.
