Memory Stick Micro
Sony and SanDisk have announced a new memory format that is one quarter the size of Memory Stick PRO Duo. The Memory Stick Micro is only 1.2mm thin and has been developed for use in mobile phones. We're not sure at this stage whether the format will make its way into digital cameras, but we thought the same about Duo when that was first announced. The Memory Stick Micro will be compatible with Memory Stick PRO products when used with an adapter. |
Yet another micro storage form-factor. We already have SD Card, miniSD, microSD, xD Picture Card, and a bunch of other slightly larger storage cards . . . why do we need so many different types?
