Disney films to play on Sony PlayStation Portable: Contradictive in Technology
This morning, I was reading a news article called, "Disney Films Go Portable. Despite the mysterious article name, I had no doubt it is related to the Sony PSP, the hotest gadget to come out on the market in a few days. The article was a fun read and I love the intermingle of technology, such as watching movies on a portable game machine. But I banged myself in the head when I read, "According to a Reuters article, Disney intends to support Sony's Universal Media Disc (UMD) format, a proprietary technology that will let users watch films on the PSP." I have to ask, how more contradictary can you be with the word "Universal" in the name of a proprietary technology?
