Canon Image Stabilization Lens Question

I have recently purchased a used 75-300 canon lens with IS.

There is an off/on switch for the IS. There is an "I" and an "O". Which is the on and which is the off?

I don't know whether the O means on or off.

I will thank you for a speedy reply.

1 is on, 0 is off.

That's what I thought. Thanks.
