Samsung Tilt 8125

My husband and I both own Samsung tilt phones, and while I prefer a camera that is stand alone I have to say right now that the ease of having a camera phone for a shot that you need that you can't focus on an object and shoot with a DSLR makes it handy. The quality for the image is not as bad as it used to be, however, you have to know that the quality will never be near the 13mp or more you get from a DSLR.

You get only a 1.3 mp camera with this camera, so quality will never be equal to what you get from a point and shoot camera.

Taking a picture is overall simple, however, when you use the zoom you will loose some of the clarity and may get a little over focused or bad white balance. While the quality of the image may look ok on your screen you have to know that when you look at it full size you will find that it may not be as great. There will be no room to enlarge the photo, and you may find yourself touching up and adjusting settings in a program like PhotoShop or Gimp.

Action shots are not great for the Samsung Tilt as you need to plan the shot before the action happens and try to gauge where the action will take place, and this causes a frame and or shot not to happen right. Action shots that we have tried has turned out ok, not great, somewhat blury.

There is a lag between shots, and no way to take rapid succession shots for a sequence of shots. This is a huge downside to me as I like to be able to shoot several shots and be able to pick one out of several in a series.

Night shots and low light shots, this is not a good phone to take night shots with because of the lack of ability to adjust seetings like you need to.

Like any Camera phone I believe that there could be better options, but for having a camera always handy you can't complain.

The biggest drawback as with any photo is the amount of storage you get on the phone, if you plan on doing pictures with your phone you need to get extra storage, as the amount you get with your phone will not hold many images.

Overall ok quality, could be better, but if you want an 8mp camera in a phone, which only one or 2 phones have, you need to be ready to shell out the big bucks, or have a point and shoot that you carry with you at all times.

The rest of the phone is such a great phone to use, the ease of the keyboard, and being able to tilt the phone, and the fact that the phone gives a feel like a laptop. Granted with the cramped keyboard and thumb typing, its easy to use.

The 'trackball' our joy pad, I find really sensitive to use, and I try not to use it.

The Stylus and touch screen makes dialing and using the phone so easy.

The one thing I do not like about this phone is if you are calling customer service, many automated systems do not recognize the touch phone press buttons, and I have been disconnected more times than I can count.

Getting to the net and surfing is very easy with this phone, and I have no complaints. The biggest downside is the lags that you can get when waiting for a page to load.

It is overly easy to change your ring tone without meaning to, but it is easy to change back.

I have no major complaints with this phone, it has a few downsides like a not great camera, but the features that come with the phone make it fun to use.

It does not handle Java applications as well as one would like, and some applications using Java it can not handle at all.

The one feature I would like is to be able to connect the phone directly to my computer to upload and download files, I have not found a way to do this yet, and a salesman told me that it was not possible. I haven't tried to figure it out.
