RCA Audio/Video Cable Pin-Out

The first time that I came across this connector I thought, "Oh no, Sony has invented yet another "standard." I was very happy to discover the same connector on my Panasonic cameras.
The simplest was to get one of the connectors is to buy a cable and cut off the other end. That's cheaper than buying the cable I bet. If you really want the connector look in www.digikey.com or www.mouser.com Both are electronics supply houses that stock lots of connectors.

You can find this cable at cablewholesale.com It's called a 3.5mm Camcorder Cable. Now, if anyone can find the mating PCB connector for this jack, please let me know. I can only find stereo or mono audio jacks..

The displayed pinout is actually wrong. I just bought a panasonic 4-pin cable for a project, cut the cable, and tested with a multimeter.

As labeled in the diagram, the ground and the video are reversed. Reading down from the top, the correct pinout is

Left
Ground
Video
Right
