sony nightshot bypass the auto shut off timer??

Is it possible to disable the timer which shuts off the camera when using the composite output? I dont want to run the record to tape, rather want to use this cam setup with pan tilt and zoom, only issue is that is shuts off after a few mins.. Thanks.

I believe it shuts off automatically because you have a tape in the camcorder. If you are not recording to tape, remove the tape. That should disable to auto-shut off feature.
