DCR-PC350: Japanese to English

I'd like to know if there's a firmware that I can run in DCR PC350 Handycam Sony in order to change the language of the menu operation from japanese to english. Thank you. Please give me a solution to this problem.

From the US version of the DCR-PC350 Camera Operations Guide:

You can select or change the language used for the on-screen display (p.24). You can select from English, Simplified English, Canadian-French, Latin American, Spanish, Brazilian-Portuguese, Traditional-Chinese, or Korean.

It doesn't mention Japanese. Does the Japanese version have a language menu? Is it different than the US version?

I have the same problem as you, bought a japanese PC350 which was much cheaper (almost half the price) and thought I'd just change the language setting! However it didn't have an english option!! I called the sony customer service and they told me that they cannot do a firmware update or anything cause they are not allowed to bypass the software of the specific country I bought the item from. What a load of rubbish!!

oh woe is us i gone and dun the same silly thing as averyone else .. the U.S. firmware may be suitable but someone would have to grab and upload the firmware from a dump (using the rm95 emulator software) I would be willing to test it .. although I mostly know my way around the camera now it would still be nice to have it in english
